Hi! I see that you are curious about my academic experience. I am a Physics Engineer (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, 2016-2020) who pursued the biophysics and data science specialisation with a Master’s in Computational Biomedical Engineering (Universitat Pompeu Fabra, 2020-2021) while granted an apprenticeship at the Computational Biology and Complex Systems (BIOCOM-SC) group at the UPC, to help forecasting the COVID-19 pandemic and collaborating with the paediatricians’ research group COPEDICAT to unveil the effects of COVID-19 on children. This apprenticeship led to a PhD in Applied and Computational Physics (BIOCOM-SC, 2021-2025), in which I further specialised into epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology. During the PhD, I started studying Chinese, then French (Chinese was too difficult), then a Master’s in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and Universitat de Barcelona, 2023-2025) to complement my previous background. Before graduating but after delivering my thesis, I started working at the Catalan Healthcare Institute in the Sistema d’Informació dels Serveis d’Atenció Primària (SISAP) group, contributing to research on Catalonia’s healthcare system and public health. But that journey came to an end, and I embarked on my current adventure as a postdoctoral researcher at the Erasmus University Medical Center (EMC, Rotterdam, The Netherlands).
